Look no farther! Here you’ll find easy answers to many of our most frequently asked questions.

  • Iguanaland is a unique zoo dedicated to reptiles! We house more than 230 different species of reptiles from around the world, many of which are endangered in the wild.

  • Iguanaland is open 7 day a week, 10:00am - 6:00pm. The box office closes at 4:30pm.

    Iguanaland is closed on January 1, Thanksgiving day and December 25 to allow our staff to spend time with their families for the holidays.

  • Iguanaland is located at 33900 Bermont Road, Punta Gorda, Florida 33982

    From I-75 take exit 164 for SR17 Duncan Rd, North, towards Arcadia. Continue on SR17 for about 1 mile and turn right onto Bermont Road. Continue of Bermont Road for about 7 miles and Iguanaland will be on your left!

  • General Admission to Iguanaland is as follows:

    Adults - $25

    Discount Adult - $20

    [Active Military, Veterans, Health Care Workers, Emergency Services Personnel, Seniors (65+), Students & Teachers (with ID)]

    Child (Ages 2 - 12) - $15

    Children under 2 years old are admitted free of charge

  • General Admission tickets can be purchased either through our website or in person at the box office at Iguanaland. The cost of the tickets is the same whether they are purchased online or in person, though there may be an additional processing for fee for the online transaction.

    To purchase tickets online, simply click on the black “Tickets” button in the top right corner of this webpage or the black “Book Now” button in the bottom right corner of this webpage. Either of these bottoms will bring you to the same booking page where you can quickly and easily pre-purchase tickets.

    If you would like to purchase tickets in person, please note that the box office closes daily at 4:30 pm to allow all guests ample time to explore the zoo before we close at 6:00pm.

    The box office is able to take cash, all major debit and credit cards and all major tap-to-pay options.

  • If you are interested in bringing a group of people from an organization (i.e. school, camp, religious group, scouts, homeschool group, social club, senior community, etc.) you can learn more about our Field Trip rates on our EXPERIENCES page.

    If you have a large family group looking for general admission, please give us a call at 941-844-5350 to speak to us about a personalized group rate!

  • At this time we do not have a full service café on site, but we do offer cold bottled drinks and a variety of pre-packaged snacks for sale in the gift shop

  • Yes! Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks, snacks or a packed lunch to enjoy at Iguanaland. We have a large, covered picnic area inside our barn where you can enjoy your snack surrounded by your new scaly friends!

    Please save alcoholic beverages to be responsibly enjoyed at home.

  • Like most zoos, Iguanaland is primarily an outdoor attraction. We do have a covered, open air area inside the main barn with many of our smaller lizards and snakes on exhibit, but the majority of the exhibits are outside.

    We highly recommend that guests visit with hats, sunglasses and lots of sun screen! Close toed shoes are recommended.

    A variety of sun screens and insect repellants are available and complimentary for your use at the Comfort Station inside the main barn.

  • Iguanaland does not typically close for weather unless there is an extreme weather incident. In the case of a weather-based closure, an announcement would be made on the front page of our website and across our social media platforms. Any guests with pre-purchased tickets for the day(s) of the closure will be contacted directly with more information.

    If you are visiting Iguanaland and the weather impacts your ability to see and enjoy the whole park, we’d be happy to issue you a raincheck to continue your visit another day.

  • While we don’t typically allow guests to hold our animals, we have many options for you to get up close and personal with our reptiles! We offer VIP tours, Animal Encounters, Field Trips, Outreach programs and more! Please visit the EXPERIENCES section of our website for more information about these programs and how to book them!

  • Generally, Iguanaland does not allow dogs into the zoo - it is stressful for our animals and your pet. If you have an extenuating circumstance, please give us a call at 941-844-5350 to discuss the issue and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    Trained service animals are always welcome.
